Description
Why choose GYEON Q²M Cut?
GYEON Q²M Cut is a firm foam polishing pad designed to deliver strong defect removal while retaining enough versatility for a wide range of paint-correction jobs. It is an excellent choice for tackling swirl marks, scratches, oxidation and other moderate-to-heavy defects without immediately resorting to GYEON’s most aggressive foam pad.
The pad’s firm construction allows it to transfer polishing-machine movement effectively to the paintwork, helping your chosen compound achieve the level of correction required. Paired with GYEON Q²M Compound, it provides a well-balanced cutting combination for many correction jobs.
For severely damaged paint, sanding marks or situations where maximum cutting ability is required, Q²M HeavyCut may be the better choice. Q²M Cut, however, offers a useful middle ground between outright cutting power and the more refined behaviour of a medium polishing pad.
Prestige Detailing Tips
- Always carry out a test section before polishing the entire vehicle. Start with the least aggressive pad and compound combination capable of achieving the desired correction and only increase the level of cut when necessary.
- Pair Q²M Cut with GYEON Q²M Compound for a versatile cutting combination. For more severe defects, the pad can also be paired with GYEON Q²M Compound+ REDEFINED.
- Prime the pad before use and keep it clean throughout the polishing process. Accumulated polish residue and removed clear coat can reduce cutting performance and increase heat.
- Avoid overloading the pad with compound. Once properly primed, a relatively small amount of fresh product should be sufficient for each working section.
- Depending on the paint system and compound used, a cutting stage may leave some haze or micro-marring behind. Follow with GYEON Q²M Polish and an appropriate polishing pad when further refinement is required.
- Before polishing, make sure the vehicle has been properly washed and decontaminated. Our guide on how to paint correct your car covers the complete correction process.
