GYEON Q² CanCoat EVO bridges the gap between traditional spray-on protection and a full ceramic coating, delivering impressive durability, hydrophobicity and self-cleaning properties through an exceptionally simple spray-and-wipe application.
Offering up to 12 months of real-world protection, CanCoat EVO is an excellent option for enthusiasts who want the benefits of ceramic protection without committing to the more involved application process of a conventional coating. Better still, a single 200 ml bottle requires just 10–15 ml per vehicle, allowing for multiple applications.
Versatility is another major strength. CanCoat EVO can be applied to paintwork, exterior plastics, metal, wheels and PPF, as well as side and rear glass. It can also be used as a top-up over an existing ceramic coating when you want to reinforce its gloss, water behaviour and protection.
Prestige Detailing Tips
- Preparation still matters. Before applying CanCoat EVO, ensure the vehicle has been thoroughly safe-washed and decontaminated. If necessary, carry out paint correction before applying protection.
- Immediately before application, degrease the surface with GYEON Q²M Prep and allow approximately 15 minutes before applying CanCoat EVO.
- Spray CanCoat EVO onto your microfibre towel rather than directly onto the vehicle. Work in small sections, spread the product evenly and immediately wipe the surface until you achieve a clear, streak-free finish.
- Although CanCoat EVO is extremely easy to apply, avoid over-application. Only around 10–15 ml is required to protect an entire vehicle.
- Keep the vehicle completely dry for at least the first 12 hours after application. We also recommend avoiding washing the vehicle or exposing the fresh coating to cleaning chemicals for the first 14 days while the coating continues to cure.
- If bird droppings or other potentially damaging contamination lands on the vehicle during the curing period, don’t simply leave it in place for two weeks. Remove it carefully rather than allowing aggressive contamination to remain on the fresh coating.
- For additional durability, a second layer of CanCoat EVO can be applied after a minimum of one hour.

Application and curing guidance
Surface preparation: Thoroughly wash and decontaminate the vehicle using suitable cleaning products. Remove bonded contamination with GYEON Q²M Iron and Q²M Tar where necessary. Following polishing, GYEON recommends washing with Q²M Degrease Tabs and hot water. Ensure the surface is completely dry and free from oils, then apply Q²M Prep. Wait 15 minutes before proceeding.
Application: Fit one of the supplied spray heads to the bottle. Working away from the vehicle, spray a small amount of Q² CanCoat EVO directly onto the supplied microfibre cloth. Apply the product evenly to a small section of clean, cool paintwork or another compatible exterior surface.
Wipe-off: Using the microfibre cloth, spread and level the coating until the surface is clear and glossy, with no visible streaks or residue. Work in small sections to minimise the risk of uneven application or high spots. Do not spray the coating directly onto the vehicle.
Layering: A single layer provides effective protection. If desired, apply a second layer after waiting at least one hour.
Glass application: Q² CanCoat EVO may be applied to side and rear windows. Do not apply it to the windscreen.
Initial drying: Keep treated surfaces completely dry and protected from rain and water for at least 12 hours after application. Outdoor application is possible under suitable conditions, provided the vehicle remains out of direct sunlight during application and dry throughout the initial curing period.
Ongoing maintenance: Wash regularly using a suitable pH-neutral car shampoo and avoid unnecessarily aggressive chemicals. GYEON Q²M Cure or Q²M WetCoat may be used separately to refresh water repellency and maintain the coating’s performance.
