ADBL Roller Finish 75 mm is a soft foam polishing pad designed for the finishing and refinement stages of machine paint correction. Made for dual-action polishing machines, it helps refine light polishing haze and holograms while maximising paint clarity and gloss.

Its compact 75 mm format makes it particularly useful on smaller panels and tighter sections of bodywork where a conventional 125 mm pad can be difficult to position accurately. Paired with an appropriate finishing polish, Roller Finish provides a controlled way to refine these areas after heavier correction or tackle paintwork that only requires light polishing.

How to use

Thoroughly wash and decontaminate the vehicle before machine polishing.

If the paint has already undergone a cutting or polishing stage, remove the remaining compound residue and inspect the surface to determine whether additional refinement is required.

Centre ADBL Roller Finish 75 mm securely on the appropriate backing plate of your dual-action polishing machine.

Apply a suitable finishing polish to the pad according to the compound manufacturer’s instructions.

Place the pad against the paint before switching on the machine.

Work a small, manageable section at a time using controlled, overlapping passes. Keep the pad properly positioned against the surface and avoid unnecessary pressure.

Once the polishing cycle is complete, remove the residue with a clean microfibre towel and inspect the finish under suitable lighting.

Clean the pad regularly during use to prevent spent compound and paint residue from accumulating in the foam.

Once the desired finish has been achieved, prepare the paint appropriately before applying your chosen wax, sealant or ceramic coating.

The main advantage of the 75 mm Roller Finish is control. It allows you to carry the refinement process into areas where a 125 mm pad may simply be too large to work comfortably.

For a full paint-correction job, we’d generally see the 75 mm and 125 mm versions as complementary rather than competing products. Use the larger pad where panel size allows and switch to the 75 mm pad when the shape or available working area demands greater precision.

A typical two-stage process could look like:

Cutting pad + cutting compound → Roller Finish + finishing polish → protection

Within the ADBL range, pairing Roller Finish with ADBL Perfect Finish gives you a logical combination for refining haze and holograms and bringing out additional clarity after heavier correction.

Don’t assume that smaller automatically means safer, though. A 75 mm machine pad allows you to work in tighter spaces, but you still need adequate clearance between the backing plate, pad and surrounding trim or panel edges.

Keep an especially close eye on pad cleanliness. Because a 75 mm pad has less working surface than a 125 mm pad, polishing residue can build up relatively quickly. Regular cleaning helps maintain consistent performance throughout the job.

Good inspection lighting is equally important. There’s little point carrying out a dedicated finishing stage if you can’t properly see the haze, holograms or micro-marring you’re trying to refine.

Finally, Roller Finish isn’t ADBL’s softest pad. The current Roller range also includes separate Soft Polish and Final Finish pads, allowing you to move to an even finer combination where the paint system or desired finish calls for it.
