How to use

Thoroughly wash and decontaminate the vehicle before beginning paint correction.

Inspect the paint and carry out a test section to determine an appropriate pad-and-compound combination.

Fit the ADBL Roller Cut 75 mm securely and centrally to the appropriate backing plate on your dual-action polishing machine.

Apply your chosen polishing compound according to its instructions.

Place the pad flat against the paint before starting the machine.

Work a small, manageable section at a time using controlled overlapping passes. Avoid excessive pressure and keep the pad properly positioned against the panel.

Once the polishing cycle is complete, remove the residue with a clean microfibre towel and inspect the corrected area.

Clean the pad regularly during use to prevent spent compound and paint residue from accumulating within the foam.

The main reason to choose the 75 mm Roller Cut over its 125 mm sibling is access and control. The smaller pad is particularly useful around areas such as bumpers, pillars and other restricted sections where accurately positioning a larger polishing pad can become difficult.

That doesn’t mean every narrow or complicated surface should automatically be machine polished. Panel shape, backing-plate clearance and surrounding trim still need to be considered before switching the machine on.

For a complete correction job, having both 125 mm and 75 mm pads available makes considerably more sense than trying to force one pad size to tackle every part of the vehicle.

The same principle applies to compound selection. Roller Cut provides the cutting pad, but the aggressiveness of the overall combination also depends on your compound, paint system, machine and technique.

If you’re tackling substantial defects within the ADBL system, Roller Cut can be paired with ADBL Hard Cut. For lighter defects, you may be able to achieve the required result using a less aggressive compound with the same pad.

Always carry out a test section first. There’s little benefit in using an unnecessarily aggressive combination if a milder approach produces the correction you’re looking for.

Clean the pad frequently during use. A small 75 mm pad has less working surface than its larger counterparts, so compound and removed paint residue can accumulate relatively quickly during correction.

Finally, don’t forget the refinement stage. Depending on the paint system and cutting combination, heavier correction may leave haze or micro-marring behind. Where necessary, follow Roller Cut with an appropriate polishing or finishing pad and compound to restore maximum clarity and gloss.
