ADBL Perfect Finish is a fine finishing polish designed to remove holograms, light hazing and minor scratches while refining automotive paintwork to a high-gloss finish. Its carefully selected abrasive nanoparticles have a consistent size, allowing the compound to refine the surface effectively while producing the clarity and gloss expected from the final stage of a multi-step paint correction.

Its water-based formula contains no silicones, fillers or waxes, meaning Perfect Finish removes defects rather than temporarily concealing them. It works quickly, leaves a transparent film that makes it easier to inspect your progress during polishing, and leaves the paint smooth and ready for the application of a wax, sealant or ceramic coating.

How to use

Thoroughly wash and decontaminate the paint before polishing. The surface should be clean and free from loose or bonded contamination that could interfere with the polishing process.

Shake ADBL Perfect Finish before use.

Apply up to four small pea-sized drops of compound to a clean, unprimed polishing pad for an area of approximately 40 × 40 cm.

Work the product using a suitable finishing or polishing pad and your chosen DA or rotary polishing machine. Perfect Finish can also be applied by hand where appropriate.

Work systematically over the section until the compound has been sufficiently worked.

Wipe away the remaining polishing residue with a clean microfibre towel and inspect the finish.

Avoid polishing in direct sunlight or on excessively hot paintwork.

If you’re preparing the vehicle for a ceramic coating or another protection product that requires a completely clean surface, follow the polishing stage with an appropriate panel wipe such as ADBL Inspector.

Perfect Finish really comes into its own as the final refinement stage after heavier paint correction.

For example, if you’ve used ADBL Hard Cut to remove deeper scratches and more serious defects, the paint may occasionally be left with light haze or micro-marring depending on the paint system, pad and polishing technique. Perfect Finish gives you the opportunity to refine that surface further and maximise clarity and gloss.

A straightforward two-stage combination would therefore be:

Don’t automatically assume that every car needs the same polishing combination, though. Paint hardness varies considerably, so we’d always recommend carrying out a test section first and choosing the least aggressive combination that achieves the required correction.

Your choice of pad will also influence how Perfect Finish behaves. Pairing it with a dedicated finishing pad will generally prioritise refinement and gloss, while a slightly firmer polishing pad may give you a little more corrective ability where the paint requires it.

Don’t overload the pad with compound. ADBL recommends no more than four small pea-sized drops for approximately 40 × 40 cm. Using substantially more product doesn’t necessarily improve correction and can make the polishing process unnecessarily messy.

Because Perfect Finish contains no fillers, the finish you see isn’t dependent on ingredients temporarily concealing defects. Nevertheless, when assessing correction or preparing the paint for a coating, we’d still recommend using ADBL Inspector after polishing to remove residual polishing oils and give you a clean view of the surface.

Finally, remember that Perfect Finish is a finishing compound rather than an all-in-one product. Unlike ADBL AIO Hard or AIO Soft, it doesn’t contain waxes or synthetic polymers intended to leave protection behind.

That makes Perfect Finish particularly appropriate when the next stage is a dedicated wax, sealant or ceramic coating.
