Description
GYEON Q²M TowelWash is a dedicated detergent developed specifically for cleaning and maintaining automotive microfibre towels, wash mitts and other detailing textiles.
During normal detailing, microfibres accumulate polish residue, dirt, oils, shampoos, quick detailers and protection products. If these contaminants aren’t removed properly, the fibres can gradually lose the softness, absorbency and performance that made them useful in the first place.
Q²M TowelWash is formulated to clean those fibres thoroughly without relying on fabric softeners or other additives that can leave unwanted residue behind.
Regular cleaning with an appropriate microfibre detergent can therefore help maintain the absorbency and softness of your drying towels, preserve the performance of wash mitts and keep polishing and coating towels ready for their next job.
For anyone investing in quality detailing microfibres, looking after them properly is one of the easiest ways to extend their useful life.
Prestige Detailing Tips
- Separate heavily contaminated detailing towels from lighter-duty microfibres. You don’t want wheel, engine-bay or particularly dirty towels sharing a wash with your best paintwork and drying towels.
- Wash microfibres separately from ordinary household laundry. Cotton and other fabrics can shed lint that becomes trapped within the microfibre pile.
- Avoid conventional fabric softener. It can coat the fibres and significantly reduce the absorbency and cleaning performance of your towels.
- Don’t use excessive detergent. Follow the recommended dosage for Q²M TowelWash and the size of your wash load.
- Use an appropriate low-temperature washing programme and avoid unnecessarily high heat, which can damage synthetic microfibre.
- After washing, allow your towels and mitts to air dry or tumble dry using a suitably low-temperature setting.
- Make sure towels used for ceramic-coating removal are dealt with promptly. Once coating residue fully hardens inside a microfibre, washing may not restore the towel to a condition you’d want to use on delicate paintwork.
- Store clean microfibres in a dry, contamination-free environment rather than leaving them exposed in the workshop or garage.
