Description
GYEON Q²M Finish 80 mm brings the fine finishing characteristics of GYEON’s softest foam polishing pad to smaller, more intricate areas of a vehicle.
The compact 80 mm format is ideal for areas where a full-size polishing pad becomes difficult to control – including pillars, bumpers, smaller panels and tighter sections around complex bodywork.
Designed for final refinement rather than substantial defect removal, Q²M Finish uses soft polishing foam to help maximise paint clarity and gloss after heavier correction work has been completed.
The smaller working area also gives you greater precision when polishing sections where accurately controlling the machine and pad is more important than covering a large amount of paint quickly.
Supplied as a 2-pack, Q²M Finish 80 mm also makes it easier to rotate pads as they become loaded with polish and residue rather than attempting to complete every intricate section with a single saturated pad.
For larger, flatter panels, the full-size Q²M Finish remains the more efficient choice. For tighter areas requiring the same final-refinement approach, the 80 mm version gives you the additional control you need.
Prestige Detailing Tips
- Use the 80 mm pad on an appropriately sized backing plate and polishing machine. Never fit a small pad to an unsuitable backing plate simply to reach a tighter area.
- Use small pads for precision, not simply because they’re available. Larger pads remain more efficient on broad panels such as bonnets and doors.
- Q²M Finish is intended primarily for final refinement, clarity and gloss. More substantial defects may require one of GYEON’s more aggressive pad combinations first.
- Smaller areas often include curves, edges and body lines. Keep the pad controlled and avoid concentrating unnecessary polishing action on vulnerable edges.
- The supplied two-pad format allows you to rotate between pads as they become loaded or warm during use.
- Keep the foam clean throughout the polishing process. Accumulated polish and paint residue can reduce the consistency of your finishing stage.
- Inspect the result carefully under suitable lighting before moving on to protection.
- Once correction is complete, wipe the paint with GYEON Q²M Prep to remove remaining polishing oils before applying a compatible ceramic coating or other protection.
- For the wider process, see our paint correction guide.
- The pad itself requires no curing period; curing requirements apply to whichever protection product is subsequently applied.
