Run your hand carefully across freshly washed paint and it can still feel rough. That’s often caused by embedded contamination that ordinary shampoo cannot remove. Q²M Clay Mild provides the mechanical decontamination needed to lift these remaining particles from the surface and restore a noticeably smoother finish.

Its mild formulation makes it particularly suitable when effective decontamination is required without immediately reaching for a more aggressive clay.

Used with GYEON Q²M ClayLube REDEFINED, the clay glides across the lubricated surface while picking up bonded contaminants from the paint.

• Chemically decontaminate first. Before reaching for clay, remove as much contamination as possible using appropriate chemical decontamination products. Our car decontamination guide explains the full process.
• Always use plenty of lubrication. Pair Q²M Clay Mild with GYEON Q²M ClayLube REDEFINED rather than dragging clay across insufficiently lubricated paint.
• Work on a clean, cool surface away from direct sunlight and tackle one manageable section at a time.
• Glide the clay gently across the lubricated surface. Heavy downward pressure isn’t necessary – allow the clay to pick up contamination as it moves.
• Inspect the clay regularly and fold it to expose a fresh working surface as contamination accumulates.
• If you drop the clay on the floor, discard it. Grit embedded in the clay can cause significant paint damage.
• Clay only where necessary. Mechanical decontamination introduces physical contact with the paint and can cause light marring, particularly on softer finishes.
