GYEON Q²M Coating Applicator is a purpose-built applicator designed to make applying ceramic coatings to automotive paintwork more precise, comfortable and consistent.
Unlike a conventional microfibre pad, the Coating Applicator is specifically intended for paint coating application. Its shape provides a secure grip while allowing you to maintain controlled contact with the panel, making it easier to spread a thin, even layer of coating across the surface.
The applicator’s low-absorption working material also helps minimise unnecessary product loss – an important consideration when applying concentrated ceramic coatings where controlled consumption matters.

Prestige Detailing Tips
- Prepare the paint first: Ceramic coatings should be applied to properly washed, decontaminated and – where necessary – paint-corrected surfaces.
- Before coating, use GYEON Q²M Prep to remove polishing oils and remaining residue that could interfere with coating adhesion.
- Apply only enough ceramic coating to properly prime the applicator and maintain consistent coverage. Excessive saturation wastes product.
- Work methodically in small sections using overlapping passes to help achieve uniform coverage.
- Good lighting is essential. Inspect each section carefully so you can identify high spots or uneven application within the coating’s specified wipe-off window.
- Always follow the instructions for the coating you’re applying. Flash time, wipe-off timing, layering intervals, water avoidance and full curing periods vary between coatings.
- Don’t assume an applicator can be reused simply because it still looks clean. Ceramic coating can harden within the material as it cures.
- Treat used coating applicators as consumables. Never use an applicator that has hardened on delicate paintwork, as cured coating residue can create a scratching risk.
- For non-coating jobs such as applying leather protection or general detailing products, use Q²M MF Applicator instead.
