Prestige Detailing Tips
- Prepare first: Ceramic coatings should only be applied to properly prepared paint. Safe wash, decontaminate and paint-correct the vehicle where required before carrying out a final panel wipe with GYEON Q²M Prep.
- Wrap Q²M Suede tightly and evenly around your coating applicator so you have a flat application surface without folds underneath the working area.
- Apply only the amount of coating recommended for the product you’re using. Saturating the suede wastes product and can make application less controlled.
- Work systematically in small sections and use an overlapping pattern to achieve consistent coverage.
- Always follow the specific flash, wipe-off, layering and curing instructions of the coating being applied. The applicator doesn’t change the coating’s required application window.
- Don’t allow a suede used for one coating application to contaminate another product or surface.
- Treat coating applicators as consumables. Once ceramic coating begins curing within the fibres, the material can harden and become unsuitable for further contact with delicate paintwork.
- Never reuse a hardened coating cloth on paint. Even if it appears visually clean, cured coating residue can create a scratching risk.
