How to use

Thoroughly wash and decontaminate the vehicle before beginning paint correction.

Inspect the paint under suitable lighting and carry out a test section to determine whether a wool cutting combination is necessary.

Apply your chosen cutting or polishing compound to the pad according to the compound manufacturer’s instructions.

Roller Pro Wool is a correction pad rather than an all-purpose finishing pad. We’d reach for it when a foam polishing combination isn’t removing deeper defects efficiently enough.

The short wool fibres give the pad substantial cutting ability, but that doesn’t mean maximum aggression should automatically be your starting point. Carry out a test section first and use the least aggressive combination that achieves the required correction.

ADBL specifically identifies scratches, haze and pitting among the defects Roller Pro Wool can tackle. How much correction you actually achieve will still depend on the paint system, compound, machine and technique.

Within the ADBL system, you could pair Roller Pro Wool with an appropriate cutting compound such as ADBL Hard Cut for substantial defect removal. However, changing the compound changes the behaviour of the overall combination, so choose according to the condition and hardness of the paint rather than following a fixed recipe.

Wool pads also need regular cleaning. As spent compound and removed paint accumulate between the fibres, cutting performance becomes less consistent. Keep the fibres clean and open throughout the correction process rather than attempting to complete large sections with a heavily loaded pad.

One particularly useful feature of Roller Pro Wool is its flexible backing. Vehicle panels aren’t perfectly flat, and the additional conformity helps the pad maintain more effective contact when working across curved and contoured areas.

Continue to monitor panel temperature and avoid repeatedly working a defect simply because it hasn’t disappeared after the first polishing cycle.
