Description
ADBL QD1 is an easy-to-use quick detailer formulated with a high concentration of polymers and synthetic waxes to refresh automotive paintwork between more intensive detailing sessions. Applied to clean, dry paint, it boosts gloss while helping remove light dust, fingerprints and fresh hard-water spots.
Ideal for use after a regular car wash, QD1 can also be applied over an existing hard wax to enhance the finish and help extend the wax’s durability. On otherwise unprotected paint, it leaves behind a glossy protective finish designed to last until the next wash.

How to use
Wash the vehicle thoroughly and dry the paintwork.
Shake the bottle before use.
Lightly spray ADBL QD1 directly onto the dry paintwork or onto a clean microfibre towel.
Spread the product evenly across the panel and buff the surface dry with the microfibre.
Work one section at a time and avoid unnecessarily overapplying the product.
If too much QD1 has been applied and residue remains on the surface, use a second clean, dry microfibre towel to buff away the excess.
Repeat around the vehicle until the desired finish has been achieved.
Prestige Detailing Tips
QD1 is particularly useful when you’ve finished washing and drying the car but want to give the paint that final bit of gloss without carrying out a complete wax application.
It can also be used to maintain an existing hard wax. ADBL specifically confirms that QD1 can be applied over ADBL Wax One, where it enhances the finish and helps extend the life of the underlying wax.
Don’t confuse QD1’s ability to remove light dust, fingerprints and fresh water spots with a substitute for proper washing. If the vehicle has accumulated road dirt, grit or heavier contamination, wash it first rather than attempting to wipe the dirt away with a quick detailer and microfibre.
The same applies to water spots. QD1 is intended for fresh hard-water marks. Older mineral deposits that have bonded to or etched the surface may require a dedicated water-spot removal or polishing process.
For application, we’d use a clean, soft microfibre such as ADBL Pinky. Fold the towel into quarters and regularly rotate to a clean face as you work.
Less is generally more with a quick detailer. If QD1 becomes difficult to buff or begins leaving excess residue, you’ve probably used more product than necessary. A second clean and dry microfibre should make final buffing considerably easier.
One important distinction concerns ceramic coatings. While QD1 can provide a gentle paint refresh, ADBL recommends Ceramic QD rather than QD1 when you’re specifically looking for a maintenance product for a ceramic-coated vehicle.
It’s also worth noting that QD1 does not contain UV filters. Its benefits are primarily gloss enhancement, light cleaning, wax maintenance and short-term protection rather than dedicated UV protection.
