How to use

Before using ADBL Puffy Towel Light on paintwork, make sure the towel is clean and free from grit or other contamination.

Fold the towel into quarters to create multiple clean working faces and improve control.

When removing wax, gently buff the surface according to the wax manufacturer’s instructions. Rotate the towel regularly as product residue accumulates.

During polishing, use a clean section of the towel to remove compound residue before inspecting the finish or moving on to the next correction stage.

For interior work, use Puffy Towel Light to buff excess dressing from suitable plastic surfaces and produce an even finish.

Once a working face becomes heavily loaded with product, rotate to a clean section or replace the towel rather than continuing to spread residue around the surface.

Wash the towel after use and allow it to dry completely before storage.

The 600 GSM construction puts Puffy Towel Light in a useful middle ground. It’s considerably plusher than a general-purpose microfibre but isn’t quite as dense as the standard ADBL Puffy Towel.

The distinction between the two is straightforward:

If maximum plushness and gentleness are your priorities, the original Puffy Towel is the heavier option. If you want a plush towel that’s a little easier to manipulate during repeated buffing and polishing work, Puffy Towel Light makes plenty of sense.

When removing polishing compound, don’t keep using the same section once it becomes saturated with residue. Fold the towel into quarters and rotate frequently. For larger correction jobs, keep several clean microfibres within reach rather than trying to complete the entire vehicle with one towel.

The same principle applies when buffing wax. Using excessive pressure isn’t a substitute for a clean towel. If removal starts becoming difficult, switch to a fresh working face before applying more pressure to the paint.

We’d also keep your paintwork microfibres separate from towels used for dirtier jobs such as wheels, door shuts and heavily contaminated interior surfaces. A plush towel is only as paint-friendly as its condition allows it to be.
