How to use

Before machine polishing, thoroughly wash and decontaminate the vehicle so that the paint is free from loose and bonded contamination.

Inspect the paint and carry out a test section before committing to a particular pad and compound combination.

Centre the ADBL Roller Cut 125 mm securely on the appropriate backing plate of your dual-action polishing machine.

Apply your chosen polishing compound to the pad according to the compound manufacturer’s instructions.

Place the pad flat against the paint before starting the machine to minimise unnecessary product sling.

Work a manageable section of paint at a time using controlled overlapping passes. Keep the pad as flat as practical against the panel and avoid excessive pressure.

Once the polishing cycle is complete, wipe away the compound residue with a clean microfibre towel and inspect the result.

Roller Cut can be paired with different compounds, so the pad doesn’t determine the final level of correction by itself. Paint hardness, compound choice, machine throw, speed, pressure and technique all influence the result.

For heavier correction, pairing Roller Cut with an appropriate cutting compound gives you a logical starting point. If you’re staying within the ADBL system, ADBL Hard Cut is the dedicated heavy-cut compound, while products with less cutting ability can be used when the defects don’t justify maximum aggression.

After the cutting stage, inspect the paint carefully. A cutting combination may leave haze or micro-marring depending on the paint system. Where necessary, move to a less aggressive polishing or finishing pad and compound rather than trying to force a cutting pad to produce the final finish.

Keep the pad clean while you work. As spent compound and removed paint accumulate in the foam, the pad becomes less effective and its behaviour changes. Cleaning the pad regularly helps maintain more consistent cutting performance across the vehicle.

Heat management matters too. Don’t repeatedly hammer the same small area simply because a defect hasn’t disappeared immediately. Monitor the panel, reassess the defect and remember that safe paint correction isn’t about removing every mark regardless of how much clear coat that requires.
