Application and curing guidance
Surface preparation: Thoroughly wash and decontaminate the vehicle, removing bonded contamination and residues. Carry out paint correction where necessary. After polishing, wash using GYEON Q²M Degrease Tabs and hot water, following the manufacturer’s directions. Ensure the surface is completely dry and free from oils, then apply Q²M Prep. Wait 15 minutes before proceeding.
Application: Shake the bottle and apply a generous amount of Q² Pure EVO to the supplied coating applicator. Working on cool, dust-free paintwork, spread the coating evenly to create a consistent layer. The application pattern is less important than achieving uniform coverage and careful levelling.
Wipe-off: Q² Pure EVO offers an extended wipe-off window of up to 10 minutes in mild or cool conditions. However, this is not a mandatory waiting period. In hot or humid environments, wipe off immediately after application. Use clean microfibre cloths to remove all residue, inspecting the surface under suitable lighting to prevent streaks or high spots.
Layering: Q² Pure EVO is designed as a single-layer coating. One properly applied layer provides its intended performance, so additional layers are not necessary.
Initial drying: Keep the vehicle dry and protected from rain, water and moisture for at least 12 hours following application. Outdoor application is possible, provided the vehicle is kept out of direct sunlight and suitable drying conditions can be maintained.
Early maintenance: Avoid washing with strong detergents for the first 14 days. The initial 12-hour drying period should not be mistaken for the completion of the coating’s curing process.
Ongoing maintenance: Wash regularly with a suitable pH-neutral car shampoo. GYEON Q²M Cure or Q²M WetCoat may be used separately to maintain or enhance hydrophobic performance.
