Description
ADBL Leather Cleaner is a dedicated automotive leather cleaner designed to remove dirt and grease without unnecessarily drying the surface.
Based on natural cleaning ingredients, its formula is safe for the leather’s top layer and produces a stable foam that gives you plenty of working time without excessively soaking the material.
Use it as part of a complete leather-care routine to remove accumulated dirt, oils and everyday contamination before following with an appropriate leather conditioner or maintenance product.
Perfect if…
- Your leather seats have developed a greasy or dirty appearance – Leather Cleaner removes accumulated contamination rather than covering it with a dressing.
- Your steering wheel has become shiny from repeated contact with your hands – proper cleaning can help remove the oils and grime that build up through everyday use.
- You’re worried about unnecessarily drying out your leather while cleaning it – the formula is specifically designed to degrease without drying the surface.
- You want to avoid soaking your leather during cleaning – its stable foam allows you to work effectively while controlling the amount of liquid reaching the surface.
- You’re preparing leather for conditioning – cleaning first removes contamination that could otherwise remain underneath your leather-care product.
- You want adjustable cleaning strength – Leather Cleaner can also be diluted 1:1 with demineralised water when full strength isn’t required.
Why choose ADBL Leather Cleaner?
- Dedicated leather formula – developed specifically for cleaning leather rather than general interior surfaces.
- Effective degreasing – removes accumulated oils and contamination.
- Doesn’t unnecessarily dry the surface – particularly important when regularly maintaining automotive leather.
- Natural cleaning ingredients – used as the basis of the cleaning formula.
- Safe for the leather’s top layer – designed with automotive leather care in mind.
- Stable foam – provides extended working time while helping prevent excessive wetting.
- Flexible strength – use neat or dilute 1:1 with demineralised water.
- Works with brushes or a foamer – allowing you to adapt the application to your preferred cleaning method.
How to use
Shake ADBL Leather Cleaner thoroughly before use.
Always test the product on a small, inconspicuous area before cleaning the entire surface.
Apply the cleaner directly to a suitable leather brush, or dispense it as a foam using the ADBL Foamer 150 ml.
Gently work the product across the leather using the brush, paying particular attention to areas where dirt and body oils tend to accumulate.
Avoid unnecessarily soaking the leather.
Once the contamination has been loosened, wipe the cleaned area thoroughly using a clean microfibre towel such as ADBL LEA.
Repeat the process where necessary on more heavily contaminated areas.
For lighter cleaning, ADBL Leather Cleaner can be diluted 1:1 with demineralised water.
Once the leather has been properly cleaned and allowed to dry, follow with an appropriate leather conditioner if additional care and protection are required.

Prestige Detailing Tip
Don’t automatically assume that shiny leather is healthy leather.
On frequently touched areas such as steering wheels, gear selectors, armrests and seat bolsters, a shiny appearance can be caused by a build-up of body oils, dirt and other contamination.
Proper cleaning can therefore make a significant difference to both the appearance and feel of the surface.
We’d also avoid spraying large quantities of cleaner directly over the seat. Applying Leather Cleaner to ADBL Ther or using the ADBL Foamer gives you much better control over the amount of moisture reaching the leather.
The basic deep-cleaning workflow is:
Leather Cleaner → Ther Leather Brush → LEA → Leather Conditioner
For subsequent upkeep, you don’t necessarily need to perform the complete deep-clean every time. If the leather is only lightly contaminated, ADBL Leather QD provides a quicker maintenance option.
Also pay particular attention to high-contact areas. A driver’s seat bolster or steering wheel may require considerably more cleaning than a rear seat that is rarely used, so treat the condition of the leather rather than automatically cleaning every section with the same intensity.
Finally, leather can vary considerably between vehicles. Always test your chosen method on an inconspicuous area first, particularly when working with older, unusually finished or previously repaired leather.
